Alan Bryant's journey in football officiating spans decades, marked by a steadfast commitment to excellence and a passion for the game. His career began in his high school years in Hutchinson, Kansas, where he officiated as a linesman for the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) from 2000 to 2002. His expertise and dedication earned him the role of referee from 2003 to 2009, solidifying his reputation as a reliable and respected official within the Kansas high school football community.
Venturing into Colorado, Alan continued to make his mark in officiating, serving as a linesman for the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) in Fort Collins from 2003 to 2009. His proficiency caught the attention of CHSAA, leading to his appointment as a line judge, head linesman, and back judge in 2018.
Alan's officiating prowess extended beyond the high school level into collegiate football. In the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (NJCAA), Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (NAIA) he held roles ranging from side judge to field judge from 2007 to 2009. He later returned to officiate in Kansas in both conferences during the 2019 to 2020.
His most notable contributions, however, lie within the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) of NCAA Division II football. Alan's tenure from 2011 to 2018 and his ongoing commitment since 2019 as a line judge exemplify his dedication to the highest standards of officiating. Noteworthy achievements include being part of the RMAC/NCAA Playoff Crew in 2016 and earning the esteemed title of RMAC Most Improved Football Official in the same year capped off by being Line Judge in the 2016 El Toro Bowl, the NJCAA National Championship game.
Beyond the field, Alan's impact extends to the next generation of officials through the Front Range Football Officials Camp, which he founded in Fort Collins, Colorado, in 2013. This initiative reflects his commitment to mentorship and the continual advancement of football officiating.
